We love a good cocktail here at Love Tiki and we are particularly partial to new and adventurous Vodka Cocktail Recipes, so we thought we would share some of our favourite Vodka cocktail recipes and serving ideas with you!

Vodka is generally a distilled beverage composed primarily of water and ethanol, sometimes with traces of impurities and flavourings. Traditionally, vodka is made by the distillation of fermented cereal grains or potatoes, though some modern brands use other substances, such as fruits or sugar.

Vodka is traditionally drunk neat (not mixed with any water, ice, or other mixer), but at Love Tiki we like to add some flair and flavour, though it is often served chilled in the vodka belt countries (Belarus, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Ukraine). Vodka is also commonly used in cocktails and mixed drinks, such as a vodka martini, Cosmopolitan, vodka tonic, Screwdriver, Greyhound, Black or White Russian, and Bloody Mary.

Vodka Cocktail Recipes #1 Classic Cosmopolitan

You can’t go far wrong with this classic Vodka cocktail:

Ingredients:
50ml vodka – Your favourite brand
25ml  Triple Sec – For a less alcoholic drink use Monin Orange Curacao Triple Sec
25ml  Funkin Lime Juice
25ml  Cranberry Juice

Equipment:
Thimble Measure or Jigger
Tin on tin cocktail shaker
Hawthorne strainer
Martini Glass 

Method:
Measure all ingredients using a jigger and pour into your shaker. Add ice.  Shake vigorously.

Strain into your martini glass and garnish with a wheel of lime rind.

 

Vodka Cocktail Recipes #2 Chai White Russian

Enjoy a teatime twist on the Dude’s favourite drink with this cheeky Chai Vodka cocktail.

Ingredients:
50ml vodka – Your favourite brand
25ml  Monin Chai Tea Syrup
Large splash  Double Cream

Equipment:
Ice Ball Mold
Thimble Measure or Jigger
Old Fashioned glass
Cocktail spoon

Method:
Ensure your ice ball mold is topped up and in the freezer. Pour the Vodka and syrup into your glass, add a splash of cream and stir.
Add you ice ball, sit back enjoy.

 

Vodka Cocktail Recipes #3 Moscow Mule with a Kick

Ingredients:
50ml vodka – Your favourite brand
15ml  Funkin Lime Juice
100ml Ginger Beer
1 dash Funkin Ginger Syrup
Lime Wedges

Equipment:
Stainless steel cocktail mule mug
Ice Crusher
Thimble Measure or Jigger
Cocktail spoon

Method:
Fill your mug with crushed ice. Add your Vodka, lime juice, ginger beer and ginger syrup. Stir it up and garnish with lime wedges.

 

Vodka Cocktail Recipes #4 Berry Berry Fruity

Surely one of your five a day with this fruity Vodka cocktail.

Ingredients:
50ml vodka – Your favourite brand
25ml  Funkin Blackberry fruit puree
25ml  Funkin Raspberry fruit puree
100ml Sparkling Water
10 Fresh Raspberries and blackberries

Equipment:
Mason drinking handled jar
Muddler
Thimble Measure or Jigger

Method:
In your jar, muddle your fresh Raspberries and Blackberries. Fill your Mason jar with ice. Add vodka, your purees and stir. Simple!
